Vineyards
SOILS: The soils are particularly tough because they are made up of calcareous clays of alluvial origins. They formed 20.000 years ago at the end of the last glaciations. Under the arable layer, at a depth of 50-100 cm., it can be found the formation of calcium carbonates locally called “caranto”, which give the wines an intense bouquet and an excellent body. These soils allow good yields as well as great quality.

CLIMATE: The climate is particularly temperate and breezy, brought about by its proximity to the Dolomites and the Veneto-Friulan Prealps in the North and the Adriatic sea in the south-east. The rainfall is about 900/1000 mm. per year and is concentrated above all in autumn and winter. In summer the temperature can reach over 30°C, while in winter the temperature does not go below -5°C at dawn. The average yearly temperature is of about 11°C.

TRAINING SYSTEM: Guyot and spurred cordon.

The estate is divided into 2 bodies: Annone Veneto and Lison di Portogruaro.
